Erika Brown is the Founder, Chairperson, and Teen W.E.O.W. Liaison at Women Empowering Other Women. Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Erika's upbringing instilled in her the value of giving back to others. This led her to personally assist families in need with clothing, shoes, food, and other necessities to keep them encouraged during challenging times.
With over 30 years of experience as a government employee, Erika has gained extensive expertise in safety, training, coordinating, accounting, clerical work, customer service, and supervision. Her employment has also provided her with valuable insights into programs and assistance available to struggling families, further fueling her passion for helping others.
Erika's interest in supporting women grew as she witnessed an increasing number of women in need of encouragement and instructions. She is dedicated to strengthening, inspiring, and empowering women so they can, in turn, uplift others. The members of Women Empowering Other Women, Inc. are proud to support Erika's vision and are committed to helping bring it to fruition.
Sharise Edwards has over 10 years of experience in setting up accounting procedures and forms for various organizations. She has also been instrumental in fundraising efforts at several local churches, where she maintained their financial records.
Sharise professional journey includes bookkeeping, showcasing her attention to detail and financial acumen. Her experience also includes customer service, administrative assistance, and business ownership. These experiences have equipped her with a diverse skill set, making her a valuable asset to WEOW.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sharise has owned several businesses over a 15-year period, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. Her dedication to empowering women is why she is committed to ensuring the success of the WEOW organization.
Widlande Gilbert is a seasoned accounting professional with over 12 years of experience in nonprofit and governmental organizations. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Widlande earned her Master's Degree in Public Administration and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Florida.
Currently, Widlande serves as the Treasurer for Women Empowering Other Women WEOW Inc., in addition to her role on the PMBA Finance 101 task force. She also holds the position of CEO at W&A CPA Solutions LLC, an accounting organization. Outside of her professional life, Widlande is a dedicated mother and actively involved in serving her community.

LaTonya Baker is an Army veteran who served this country for 11.5 years and has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Her reason for getting involved with WEOW is to share her knowledge and to help women and children within the community.
Ms. Baker is a small business owner, she is very active in her church and is an excellent example or q hard worker. For more than fifteen years, she has organized back-to-school drives, food drives, and feeding the homeless events. She enjoys reading, traveling, and making others smile. “Together everyone achieves more,” is a motto of hers and she goes the extra mile to make things happen.
It is her delight to help others and give back to the community - making her a very valuable asset to WEOW.
